Jaiden Jakubowski of the Columbia Valley Rockies is this week’s Young Guns, presented by the Next Shift Network, as he stopped 69 of 73 shots in 94 minutes of action over two games for a 2.45 goals against average and a .945 save percentage.
Against the Nelson Leafs on Jan. 20, Jakubowski saved 49 of 51 shots in a 5-2 Rockies win.
“I thought he played really well,” said Rockies Head Coach-GM Taylor Sincennes. “He battled the whole game and made some very technically sound saves and made it look easy. He also had to make some very athletic, acrobatic saves. He was locked in mentally and stood on his head and gave us a chance to win.”
Jakubowski has eight wins in 14 games with a 2.59 GAA and a .918 SP.
