Week 11 was a short week for the Rockies as it only consisted of one single game against the Kimberley Dynamiters on Saturday December 11th. Kayde Kinaschuk got things going on Saturday night mid-way through the first period on a beautiful tic-tac-toe goal assisted by Colby Phillips and Dylan Malarchuk. After the Rockies allowed two goals in the second, Bryson Monych tied the game on a beautiful top corner goal from the bottom of the right circle.

This gave the team motivation going into the second intermission and within seconds of the third period, Jakob McLean came through putting the Rockies up 3-2. After a tough battle to the very end, three goals were enough to deem the Rockies victorious. Despite only having one game this past week, it was one of the most important of the season so far as the Dynamiters have consistently sat right below the Rockies in the standings. Winning in regulation allowed the Rockies to remain atop the Eddie Mountain division with 33 points leaving Kimberley just below with 30 and two games in hand.
Week 12 is a busy one as the Rockies first head on the road to Fernie to take on the Ghostriders on Thursday December 16th. They follow that up with another away game in Golden against the Rockets on Friday December 17th before finishing off a back-to-back-to-back at home against the Golden Rockets on Saturday December 18th at 7:00 PM.
A reminder to all of our readers that our final home game of 2021 on December 31st takes place in Canal Flats at the Canal Flats Arena.
