Rockies begin search for Head Coach & GM


The Columbia Valley Rockies are excited to embark on the search for a new Head Coach & General Manager and offer congratulations to Briar McNaney, who has accepted a position at the Junior A level.

Applications are being accepted immediately and interested candidates may submit a cover letter and resume to Rockies’ president Brett Holt at The application deadline is Friday, June 3rd.

McNaney was named Rockies’ Head Coach in April 2020 and guided the club through a challenging COVID-19 campaign before posting a 30-9-2-1 record during the 2021/22 season, tying for fourth in the overall KIJHL standings. The Rockies eliminated the Fernie Ghostriders in six games to advance to the Eddie Mountain division finals, where they dropped a hard-fought six-game series to Kimberley.

“Our entire organization is extremely proud of the Briar’s accomplishments as a Rockie and we wish him all the best as he advances in his coaching career,” says team president Brett Holt. “We’re also excited to identify our next Head Coach and work together to win a KIJHL championship.”
