Kayde Kinaschuk of the Columbia Valley Rockies has committed to the University of Southern Maine Huskies in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III for the 2023-24 season.
Over two seasons with the Rockies, Kinaschuk put up 119 points in 80 career regular season Kootenay International Junior Hockey League games. He added 21 points in 18 KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games.
“I am extremely thrilled to announce my commitment to Southern Maine to further my academics and athletics,” said Kinaschuk, who thanked USM for the opportunity, as well as the Rockies organization and his parents for their endless support.
“The Rockies organization is proud of Kayde’s accomplishments in Invermere and we are excited to see him progress in NCAA Division III,” said Rockies Head Coach-GM Emery Olauson.
