Rockies’ Ingram signs with BCHL’s Capitals

Columbia Valley Rockies’ Keenan Ingram has signed to play for the BCHL’s Cowichan Valley Capitals for the 2023-24 season.

In his first season in the KIJHL, not only did Ingram lead the Rockies with 74 points in 41 games, those totals ranked him second overall in the league and he was named the KIJHL’s Rookie of the Year. Of the league-leading 43 goals Ingram scored, 10 came on the power-play and five were winners.

“I’m looking forward to playing with the Cowichan Valley Capital,” said Ingram, who joined the Rockies from the NWCAA Stamps U18AA program. “After having the opportunity to train with the team, I think it will be a good fit for me and I can contribute to the program. I’m grateful for the opportunity I had this year to play in the KIJHL with the Columbia Valley Rockies and I think the experiences have prepared me to move to the BCHL. Thanks to my coaches and teammates for being a part of my road forward.”

“Keenan was a high-end scorer at the AA level out of Calgary that we felt just needed the opportunity to prove that he could succeed at the Junior level as well,” said Rockies Head Coach-GM Emery Olauson. “He came in and embraced his development and took advantage of his opportunity right away. We are proud of Keenan and can’t wait to see what he does in the BCHL.”
