KIJHL Power Rankings Week 15 – (Jan.1)

 

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its 15th week of regular season action for the 2022-23 season. Week 14 was during the Christmas break. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlights the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide final positions.

Princeton Posse

Last Week: 2

Record: 22-4-1-3

The Posse won their lone game following the Christmas break, defeating Osoyoos 6-2. Sean Mitchell led with four points, including the game-winner. Peyton Trzaska made 33 saves.

Columbia Valley Rockies

Last Week: 3

Record: 22-5-0-2

The Rockies returned from the Christmas break and defeated the Golden Rockets 7-3. Kayde Kinaschuk led the Rockies with two goals and four points. Nate Glenn stopped 28 of 31 shots.

Revelstoke Grizzlies

Last Week: 1

Record: 19-3-3-4

The Grizzlies returned from the Christmas break and played a home-and-home set with the Chase Heat, winning the first game 5-0 with Owen Albers earning a 15-save shutout on the road. 

Kimberley Dynamiters

Last Week: 4

Record: 21-7-1-1

The Dynamiters won both their games against the Fernie Ghostriders in their annual Christmas Classic, 4-1 and 2-0. Defenceman Cam Reid led the Dynamiters with four points.

Grand Forks Border Bruins

Last Week: NR

Record: 18-8-1-1

The Border Bruins have yet to play since the Christmas break and return to action at home against the Beaver Valley Nitehawks and Osoyoos Coyotes.
